Meet the Owner!

Hello, I’m Deanna — the heart behind Stonehouse Designs Studio and Touch of Colour Paint Co.

For over 20 years, I’ve proudly served Simcoe County and the surrounding area, painting homes and transforming spaces with care. Today, I lead a skilled team of five dedicated painters who share the same passion: turning houses into homes.

Back in 2017, as a single mother of three, I made the choice to pursue my Interior Decorating diploma. I wanted to show my children that I was more than just a painter — and that it’s never too late to grow, learn, and chase your goals. Balancing college, motherhood, and running a business wasn’t easy. Many nights I fell asleep at the dinner table finishing homework after the kids went to bed. There were moments I wanted to give up, but I kept reminding myself there was light at the end of the tunnel.

And there was.

I made the Dean’s List three times, graduating with a high GPA of 86%. That journey taught me resilience, dedication, and the power of believing in yourself.

Since then, I’ve continued to work closely with customers, helping them choose the perfect colours, finishes, and designs to bring their vision to life. I truly love what I do — from the artistry of painting to the joy of seeing customers light up when a space feels just right.
